Job board

our process.

how we’ll work together!

1.

recruitment.

The aim of our recruitment process is to make it sufficiently long and robust that it picks out the best people whilst not being so lengthy that it puts them off from wanting to join us.

We are also committed to being as paperless as possible so everything where possible is online and can be done on a smart phone.

Our staff go through the following before being added to our database:

  • Targeted Advertising: We use a variety of job boards and social media to connect to the right people.
  • Refer a Friend Scheme: Good people know other good people. We pay every time our team recommend their friends. It’s win win.
  • CV Screen: We give their CV the once over to see if they have the skills we need for the job.
  • Telephone Screen: We engage them in a conversation, check out the facts and invite them in to make sure they are who they say they are.
  • Face to Face: We meet everyone. Nobody comes on our database without being physically met by one of the team. This takes the form of either a group induction or one-to-one interview.
2.

right to work checks.

Here at Appetite4Work we understand the importance of dotting the “i’s” and crossing the “t’s”. Your reputation is our reputation.

We use uComply, the only app endorsed by the Home Office to carry out the Government’s recommended “Obtain-Check-Copy” verification on passports or other right to work documents. The app is always up to date with new legislation meaning you can be confident that everyone we send has the right to work in the UK.

What checks we carry out?

  • Obtain documents: All applicants must bring documents to their face to face.
  • Check documents: Our team check the documents to ensure they look and feel authentic and are in keeping with the applicant’s appearance.
  • Scan documents: Using a handy smart phone app, documents are scanned and checked against the Home Office database for authenticity.
  • Expiry dates: Expiry dates are automatically recorded on the database and the compliance team are prompted close to expiry.
  • Student Visas: Restricted hours are recorded on the database and these hours can’t be overridden.
  • Additional documents: We also hold proof of NI on record as standard although this is not a government requirement.
3.

All staff have access to our own in-house training platform provided by industry leader Flow.

This provides both accredited learning as well as our own bespoke modules which can be made specific to your business where required.
