My career in hospitality started at age 18, when I worked for a music arena, whilst studying in London. It was an amazing experience, where I got to work many kinds of events.
Once I finished my degree, I got a job at my local pub. I quickly fell in love with the job, and this is where my true passion for hospitality started. We were a tiny, but busy spots bar, there was nothing better than the atmosphere of a busy Friday night!
After a few years working here, I decided to move back home, to be closer to family. I got a bar management job at a local premium pub/restaurant. Whilst here, I helped build up the reputation of our real ales, increasing the range, and quality of what was on offer.
It was a wonderful experience, but after 10 years in the hospitality industry, I decided to take to take a delve in to retail, and a 9-5 job. I got a job at a local print shop, where I quickly worked my way up to store manager. It was wonderful to get to explore my creativity, however, I felt it was time for a change, and having always loved my time in hospitality appetite4work was a perfect fit.
