(Berkshire Recruitment Manager)
My first job in hospitality was in a busy bar and nightclub and it was a real eyeopener for an innocent 18 year old but I loved it!
After ten years as an account manager for an IT services Company where I had always dipped my toe in and out off bar jobs in my spare time for friends, I decided to take on the management of a pub and I couldn’t believe I had waited that long to do it.
I trained as a chef because it was a struggle finding relief chefs to cover holiday and sickness and after leaving the pub took on a Head Chef role. I know and appreciate how important it is to be able to rely on good temporary staff both back and front of house.
Whilst I love the kitchen I get the most pleasure being Front of House, since then I have taken on operational management roles within hotels and more recently a business development role which allowed me to enjoy the best of both worlds, delivering great service and building some great relationships internally and externally.
My connections with our clients and our staff that go out and represent us is equally important to me and I am so looking forward to opening our new office in Berkshire, recruiting an amazing team of people and introducing my home county to Appetite4work.
