Michelle Grant

(Chefs Recruitment)

My career in hospitality began when I was 12 years old in a beautiful Kent countryside hotel and wedding venue. I worked as a waitress in banqueting and pretty soon after moved over to the restaurant where I was spending all weekend every weekend a 2 nights a week until I was 20. Alongside this in my gap year I also worked in a private day nursery, as a private nanny and spent a summer teaching in the US. Hospitality continued to keep me very busy whilst I was at university when I worked for a well know country pub chain and trained in all areas including cellar management.

My recruitment career however started in education, navigating around 50 temporary cover teachers daily all over London, a role which I loved and gave me the temps bug! A few years later I decided to combine the hospitality and recruitment experience and joined one of the larger hospitality recruiters managing their Surrey branch. I thrive on the buzz of stadium and event staffing as well as working as a partner to smaller more local businesses. I love talking food and eating out…..but not such a great cook just lucky enough to know plenty! Building long term relationships with my clients and candidates is fundamental to what I do and how I operate.
