Appetite 4 work

Olivia Sim

(Staffing Assistant)

I started working when I was 14 in a family friends office, a building company- I loved the organisation and talking to people but once I got my national insurance number I couldn’t wait to get into hospitality! I joined the Red Dog Saloon when I was 16 and loved nothing more than buzzing around the restaurant and gaining new skills- within weeks I was grill trained (even though I was employed as front of house) and spent the next few years getting to know the customers and learning everything I could!

The following summer I wanted to add to my skills and was employed as a front of house assistant at Dum Dums doughnut shop, where I was barista trained, alongside red dog! Between my jobs I studied and travelled with my friends before applying for an apprenticeship at Appetite4work, after meeting Mike, I was sure I wanted my career to begin here! After just a few months, I am looking after a fantastic client providing high volumes of good quality staff and was promoted from an apprentice to a staffing assistant. I love working at appetite and can’t wait to continue growing, taking on all opportunities.
