Brighton Hurrah for team Appetite

Christmas party… 2021/2022… my first year with appetite and a year still being impacted by the pandemic. So after a fairly stressful Christmas period we went down to Brighton for a winter fun day and night.

We stayed at The Harbour hotel on the seafront, highly recommended, they have a gorgeous spa and amazing cocktails. After an early lunch and some well deserved team awards we headed to Brighton Pier which we basically had to ourselves on a cold post covid January day.

This was one of our first outings with the team since it expanded post-covid, and a great chance for us to show our true colours. No better way to do this than cocktails, bumper cars, a tiny terrifying roller coaster and karaoke. There was a small fear of death but we all survived, screamed, and cried with laughter. It was brilliant.

The evening took us down to the basement of a Chinese restaurant with a karaoke room just for us. We passed the mic round, sang in chorus for the whole night, lots of laughs, a few too many tequilas, and realised this was going to be the first of many we’d find ourselves singing and generally having lots of fun. Every little helps bring us together as a team and work even harder towards our next goal.
